Huawei Mate XT: The Innovative Tri-Fold Phone with Two Million Reservations

Huawei has once again pushed the boundaries of innovation with the introduction of its first-ever tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XT. Set to be officially unveiled on September 10, the Mate XT has already made waves in the tech world, with over two million reservations made within just 24 hours of becoming available for pre-order.

The anticipation surrounding Huawei’s latest release was further fueled by a captivating video teaser starring iconic actor and singer Andy Lau, who serves as the brand ambassador for Huawei’s Ultimate Design brand. This strategic move has heightened interest and excitement within the tech community and beyond.

In terms of design, the Mate XT stands out with its vegan leather back and a distinctive octagon-shaped camera island, reminiscent of the one featured on the Mate 60 RS Ultimate. A closer inspection reveals that the device will boast four cameras, including a periscope module — although specific sensor details remain under wraps for now.

Available on Huawei’s online store, the Mate XT offers impressive memory configurations with options of 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. Buyers can also choose from two elegant color options: black and maroon. While other technical specifics of this groundbreaking device are scarce, rumors suggest it will come equipped with a 10-inch folding screen and a 5G-capable Kirin chipset.

Price speculation places the Mate XT in the premium segment, with estimates ranging from RM9,760 to RM10,370. Huawei’s decision to keep the official price under wraps only adds to the intrigue and anticipation for this cutting-edge gadget.

Available for pre-orders until September 19, the Mate XT’s sales will commence the following day. Remarkably, the device has already garnered more than two million reservations, indicating a strong market demand and eagerness to experience Huawei’s latest technological marvel.

As consumer interest in foldable technology continues to grow, the launch of the Mate XT could represent a significant milestone in the evolution of smartphones. Huawei’s innovative approach and design prowess are undoubtedly setting new standards, and the Mate XT is certainly one to watch in the competitive tech landscape.
